KCRMD May 6, 2008 Election Results
KCRMD VOTERS APPROVE PROPERTY TAX INCREASE, EXEMPTION FROM TABOR REVENUE LIMITS
SCOTT MILNE, GREG MILANO AND STUART MACDONALD ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Voters approved Ballot Issue A, the proposed 2.5 mill levy increase in the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District property tax rate by 1,930 votes with 3,072 (72.8%) votes in favor of the proposal and 1,142 (27.2%) votes against, out of 4,214 votes cast, in the May 6th election. This voter approved increase in property taxes is the first for the District since its formation in 1988, more than 20 years ago.
Voters also approved Ballot Issue B, the proposal to exempt the Metropolitan District from the revenue limitations of the TABOR Amendment and the 5.5% State of Colorado annual property tax revenue limit, by a vote of 2,666 (63.2%) in favor and 1,550 (36.8%) against, out of 4,216 votes cast.
Voters of the Metropolitan District also elected Scott Milne, Greg Milano and Stuart Macdonald to its Board of Directors to serve four-year terms until May of 2012. The final candidate votes were as follows:

Greg Milano 2,168 votes
Stuart Macdonald 2,092 votes
Jeff Esbenshade 1,112 votes
Kathy Tourney 1,056 votes
Wayne Lyle 730 votes
Laura Marrs 688 votes
MA Brd Votes to Support MD Ballot Issues
At the March 18, 2008, regular business meeting of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association, the Board of Directors voted to support two issues placed on the May election ballot by the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board of Directors. On May 6, 2008, Ken-Caryl Ranch residents will be asked to vote on the following in addition to choosing new MD Board members.
