Discover the Benefits...
Open space benefits our community by reducing the air temperature on hot summer days and provides habitat for the animals and plants we enjoy.  It also provides artistic, written and photographic inspiration, and recreation spaces for walking, jogging, and bicycling.

Many varieties of wildlife inhabit Ken-Caryl Ranch open space and are often sighted.  Deer herds use the Dakota Hogback as a winter range and move back into the mountain areas during the summer.  Turkeys, coyotes, grouse, elk and occasionally mountain lions and black bears may also be seen.  Throughout the season, adults, families, children and seniors utilize the paths for leisure, relaxation and fitness.
