KCRMD Settles Lawsuit with Plains Metropolitan District
On Friday, April 21, Board members of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (KCRMD) and the Plains Metropolitan District (PMD) signed a settlement for the lawsuit between the two entities that has been ongoing for 13 years. In full settlement of all claims in the lawsuit related to recreational facilities and to accomplish PMD’s obligation to build and pay for recreational facilities required by the judgment, PMD will pay KCRMD $3.5 million. All such funds shall be used by KCRMD solely for the design and construction of one or more new, refurbished or renovated swimming pools; one or more new, refurbished or renovated tennis courts; or one or more new, refurbished or renovated ball fields.
