Ken-Caryl Ranch is happy to host several contracted enrichment camps conveniently located at the Ranch House. Explore the many offerings to look forward to this summer!

Registration opens for the 2024 camps on March 11 for In District Residents and March 25 for Out of District Residents.

Science Fun

Mad Science

Mad Science is bringing their reputable summer camp programs to KCR! These camps focus on hands-on, fun STEM experiences that help form student’s love of science, technology, engineering, and math!

Calling all future architects, builders, and engineers! Covers a wide range of engineering topics including mechanical engineering, electricity & circuit building, geology, and more! We venture below the Earth’s surface and even delve into the smaller-than-microscopic realm to show kids the kinds of problems engineers are trained to fix. Students will also learn about many different career paths relating to engineering. Don’t miss out on this innovative introduction to the exciting world of engineering

For those who want to learn a little bit of everything! Grab your lab coats and get ready to discover the exciting world of STEM as you explore five different science and engineering concepts with Mad Science. Learn the science behind secret codes, how cameras work, create potions with the science of chemistry, and much, much more! If you want to attend a Mad Science camp and don’t know where to start, this is our most popular camp!

Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy

We are excited to bring the Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy of Colorado program to KCR this summer! Their camps encourage self-expression, while teaching children foundational art techniques and real-world topics, creative problem-solving, and critical thinking skills!

Morning Half Day- Artist’s Passport- Travel the World Through Art!

Kids embark on an around-the world cultural adventure − they explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. They experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. They make different masterpieces each week such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses, and more!

Afternoon Half Day- Wild World- The Art of Conservation

Kids explore the wonder and beauty of the animal kingdom, and discover nature in a way that inspires empathy, curiosity, and creativity. They learn about many different animals and how wildlife conservationists are working to protect species around the globe. They experiment with a variety of art techniques, and use Crayola® art materials to create frog paintings, ink-diffusion jellyfish, polar bear sculptures, and more!

Building & Engineering

Play-Well TEKnologies with LEGO®

Play-Well is celebrating their 20th anniversary of providing exceptional programming to children Kinder to 8th grade! These camps have a building and engineering focus while exploring fundamental STEM concepts through play.

LEGO Master, I choose you!! In the race to be crowned the Ultimate Pokémon Champion, we need your help! Learn to build your favorite Pokémon, level up by teaching them special moves, evolve them into more powerful versions, and come face to face with the current champion in an epic battle for the title. Learn from our Play-Well Pokémon Masters so you can make it to the top!

Design your custom LEGO bot to take on any challenge. Mix and match chassis designs using wheels, treads, or walking legs. Combine these with tools like drills, hammers, and battering rams as you refine your masterpiece by sparring with friends and overcoming obstacles. Apply real-world engineering and physics concepts to help you bash and crash your way to victory!

Fun4All offers engaging and fun variously themed camps! Their outstanding camp staff ensures each participant remains actively engaged throughout each week, channeling their enthusiasm for creativity and exploration through an active format! Get your creativity on with this Fun4All Art Week! Pack your bags for a summer vacation – each jam-packed day will have a different theme including A Trip to the Zoo, Beach Day, and Bored at Home to explore art through many types of mediums! The instructors will combine brief art lessons with fun projects that are sure to give kids a great summer experience!

Get ready for a week of fun and competition with Games Galore! With a diverse range of games, there’s fun for everyone. Play the latest board games with friends or learn the tricks of the trade with the classics like chess and checkers. We’ll also have fun with our favorite outdoor activities like kickball, relay races and four square. Bring your A game and get ready to make lasting friendships in a week full of excitement!

It’s slime time as we spend a week with students to create new slime recipes that are only limited to your imagination! The popular Slime Week teaches students the basics of how to make their own slime, and then shows students some of the most popular and trending slime recipes. Some of the slime is even edible! The instructors show students the latest slime tips and tricks and encourages creative thinking and working with friends. Students can customize their own slime by adding colors, scents, and textures. Once the slime is made, students can mold and play with their new creations. Slime Week lets kids get their hands dirty and have fun but leaves the mess in the classroom and out of the car and home!
