Summer Enrichment Camps

Ken-Caryl Ranch is happy to host several contracted enrichment camps conveniently located at the Ranch House. Explore the many offerings to look forward to this summer!

Registration opens for these camps on March 24 for In-District Residents and March 29 for Out of District Residents.

Mad Science

Mad Science is bringing their reputable summer camp programs to KCR! These camps focus on hands-on, fun STEM experiences that help form student’s love of science, technology, engineering, and math!

Zip Science with Eureka

It’s alive! Inspire the inventor and scientist in you during this week of discovery and invention. From Dr. Frankenstein to Benjamin Franklin, learn about both real and fictional famous inventors and how their ideas changed and shaped our world. Explore the patent process and work with friends to create exciting new innovations of your own.

Ages: 6-11
Dates: June 14 – 18

Molecular Madness

Explore a whimsical world of molecules and magic with bubbling beakers and all kinds of radical reactions in this exciting chemistry-themed camp! Prepare your own potions and all sorts of chemical concoctions to take home. Learn about the many types of chemical solutions and find out how different chemicals react when mixed together!

Play-Well TEKnologies with LEGO®

Play-Well is celebrating their 20th anniversary of providing exceptional programming to children Kinder to 8th grade! These camps have a building and engineering focus while exploring fundamental STEM concepts through play.

Stem Challenge with LEGO®

Master your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as elaborate Houseboats, heavy duty Forklifts, and Big Ben Clocktowers! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Jedi Engineering with LEGO®

The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles with LEGO® materials as we construct the Ewok Village on Endor, fly through space on our X-Wings, and defend the Echo Base on Hoth. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

Talk to the Camera! 

Talk to the Camera is a STEAM based program that focuses on moviemaking and video creation! With the various camp topics offered they strive to spark their participants imaginations and boost self-confidence!

Cameras, Cooks & Kids

Calling all young chefs! Be the star ⭐ of your own Cooking Show! We combine food, film, and fun – teaching young chefs how to stage, present and create their own cooking show! They’ll also learn cooking basics – from measuring to frosting, making delectable flavor combos using safe, no bake recipes. From sweet to savory, this class provides the tools unique to filming a cooking show, and them know-how to create sensational snacks the whole family will love!

Superheroes & Villains Movie Magic

KAPOW! BANG! ZOINK! Kids create their own live-action movie for an added punch. In Superheroes & Villains Movie MAGIC, young filmmakers work together, using a Project-Based Learning approach to make a movie! Students actively engage in all aspects of a professional film set. They become directors, film crew and actors– honing their craft, building their critical thinking skills and gaining a sense of ownership.

*Kids will receive their professionally edited movie a few weeks after the final class date.

Youth Tuber+

Students access their creative ability, making potential YouTube videos that stand-out! Using a STEAM-based learning approach, students embrace their individuality, develop their editing skills, and become compelling content creators who advance their digital well-being responsibly, with an awareness of online safety.

*We do not set up YouTube Channels during this class.

Kiddos are required to bring their own device to this class. This is for the safety of our students and staff.

*Students will receive their raw footage and student edited videos shared via a private Google Drive folder. Requests for adding a professionally edited video, can be created by TTTC for an additional fee.

Harry Potter & the Lost Unicorn

Wands, Wizards and Magical Creatures abound. In this movie adaptation, young filmmakers work together, using a Project Based Learning approach to make Students actively engage in all aspects of a professional film set. Help Harry, Ron and Hermoine’s kids in an adventure to find the lost unicorn!

IncrediFlix

IncrediFlix offers stop motion and movie creation programs for kids! Through the movie making process their programs focus on creativity, cooperation, and fun fun fun!

Action Stop Motion Flix

Use stop motion tricks to create fires, explosions, and even floods, as your characters can battle it out or work together to save the day in this action packed stop motion class.. You’ll work in small groups to storyboard, create the action, film, and voice-over these exciting movies. *All Flix emailed a month after camp ends.

Minecraft vs. Roblox Flix

Minecraft vs Roblox Flix – Make a Minecraft movie, or make a Roblox movie, or make a mashup movie! Choose Minecraft or Roblox action figures to create a movie full of games or challenges for your character to overcome. In this stop-motion movie making class, you’ll work in small groups to create and voice-over your movies. *All Flix emailed a month after camp ends.
