Windows, Doors, and Garage Doors

How Do I Submit for Windows, Skylights, Doors, or Garage Doors?

Information and materials required for your application include:

  • Fill out the Home Improvement Online Form below.
  • For doors and garage doors, include style, material, and color.
  • For windows, include catalog cut (or sketch), photographs of the house showing units to be replaced, color chips, and brand of paint.
  • For skylights, include location and manufacturer details.

Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Windows, Skylights, Doors, Garage Doors Rules:

The following information includes excerpts from the Ken-Caryl Ranch Home Improvement Rules and Regulations, which can be found in its entirety on our Governing Documents & Policies page. While we have gathered some information pertinent to your request and complied it here for your convenience, it remains your responsibility to comply with all Master Association and Sub Associations governing documents which require Architectural Approval for exterior home improvements.

3.11 Doors. Submittal shall include style, material and color. Unpainted aluminum doors are not permitted

3.18 Garage Doors. Submittal shall include manufacturer’s details and proposed paint color. Unless approved otherwise by the Committee, garage doors shall match the field or trim color of the house.

3.38 B. Skylights. Submittal shall include location and manufacturer details (brochure).

3.50 Windows. The replacement or addition of window units is considered an exterior improvement and Committee approval is required. The submittal shall include a catalog cut (or sketch) of each new unit, a photograph or photographs of the house clearly showing the units to be replaced, and color chips and brand names for paint to be used on the exterior of new window(s) and trim.

In selecting replacement window units, please adhere to the following:
A. All window units shall conform to the architectural style of the house.
B. All windows in a single elevation (e.g. front, rear, side) shall be consistent.
C. Mirrored or mirrored tinted glass is not permitted

3.37 Security Bars for Windows & Doors. Bars shall match vertical and horizontal mullion location of existing windows and doors. Extensive filigree is discouraged.
