Trail Improvements Project in Brannon Gearhart Park
Construction on drainage improvements and paving replacement on a 600-foot section of hard-surface trail at the west end of Brannon Gearhart Park will begin in early October. The project boundary begins at Valley Parkway on the west end to a point near the southwest corner of the pond on the east end. See the Brannon Gearhart Project Map. The project plans can be viewed at https://ken-carylranch.org/rfp/.
Enginuity Engineering Solutions was hired by the Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association to develop the design and construction documents, and Valles Construction will complete the construction work. The project is expected to take 2-4 weeks to finish. The trail and a portion of the parking lot off Valley Parkway will be closed during construction. Park visitors will need to use trail detours during this time.
Construction cost is estimated at $150,000. A combination of Master Association reserves and 2019 operational budget will pay for the project. Questions regarding the project can be directed to Open Space Manager Sean Warren at 303-979-1876 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
