After gathering bids from 3 other contractors, we chose Dylan Gomez to do a massive fire-mitigation job on our property and are extremely glad we did. We had 40-yr-old plantings of Holly and Juniper that had become pernicious weeds and were obvious fire risks, as well as other shrubs that were too close to the house. Dylan and his crew dug out everything, roto-tilled where necessary, then rebuilt or replaced crumbling stone landscape walls, put in paths, path lights, and a new drip system, replaced old weed barrier, and covered the beds with rock mulch. He respected our budget by reusing the stones from the replaced wall to repair the others, and was willing to re-use all of our old rock mulch before purchasing new. They also did some small, miscellaneous repairs to the stone on our house. Dylan and his extremely hard-working crew were on our property nearly every day for 5 weeks, interrupted only by a foot and a half of snow. He was always available for questions and discussion, was always cheerful and insightful, and had excellent ideas for how this job could best be done. We will definitely be hiring him and his team for the next phase of our job when we replant with Fire-wise plants.
