Archived Committees and Task Forces
The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association periodically forms Committees and Task Forces to address specific community needs, from park improvements and open space management to fencing standards and long-term financial planning.
Once a group has completed its work and submitted its recommendations to the Board of Directors, it is formally disbanded.
This page serves as an archive of those past Committees and Task Forces, preserving their findings, reports, and presentations for the benefit of the community.
Brannon Gearhart Park Task Force
This task force reviewed the condition of Brannon Gearhart Park and shared recommendations for future improvements to the park’s infrastructure and amenities.
The group presented its findings to the Master Association Board in August 2020.

Community Collaboration Workgroup
This group focused on long-term financial stability and consistent delivery of services across Ken-Caryl Ranch.
It included representatives from both the Master Association and Metropolitan District, along with staff leadership, and worked together to support community-wide planning.
Dog Park Task Force
This task force explored options and considerations related to a potential dog park in Ken-Caryl Ranch.
Equestrian Center Task Force
This group reviewed needs and opportunities related to the equestrian center, helping guide future planning and improvements.
Fence Task Force
The Fence Task Force was formed to review fencing inconsistencies and overall appearance throughout Ken-Caryl Ranch and to develop recommendations for improvements to community perimeter fencing along major roads, greenbelts, open space, and other areas as needed.
The Task Force conducted a comprehensive review of fencing ownership and maintenance responsibilities, including staining, along key corridors such as Ken Caryl Avenue, Continental Divide Road, Chatfield Avenue, Simms Street, Valley Parkway, as well as adjacent greenbelts and open space.
As part of its work, the Task Force:
- Developed a proposal with recommendations for fencing improvements
- Solicited and incorporated community input into its recommendations
- Addressed inconsistencies in maintenance and replacement responsibilities
- Explored alternative fence designs and materials, including consideration of Firewise materials
A final proposal was submitted to the Master Association Board in September 2022. Upon presentation of its recommendations, the Task Force was formally disbanded.
