Dakota Lodge Front Desk Staff – Rentals and Meetings 

Salary: $9.50 – $11/hour
Hours: Weekday evenings 5:30pm – 10:00pm and weekends 7:00am – 10:00pm when rentals are booked. Schedule is very flexible, 10-32 hours a week.

Dakota Lodge is a rentable facility that hosts parties, weddings, community groups, meetings, events, and registered classes. The Visitor Center at Dakota Lodge provides the community with wildlife brochures, KCR Open Space maps and bracelets, rentals for Dakota Lodge and Bradford Fire Pit, and registrations for KCR programs.

Forestry Technician

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (“District”), an Equal Opportunity Employer is accepting applications for a full-time Forestry Technician. Under the general guidance of the Landscape Foreman the successful applicant will be part of a highly motivated parks maintenance team. The Forestry Technician will be responsible for a variety of duties in the maintenance and care of trees and shrubs in the District’s parks and greenbelts. Duties include trimming, pruning, removing and planting trees and shrubs; identifying hazardous and defective trees and implementing corrective measures; implementing and maintaining a tree inventory; identifying diseases and insects in trees and shrubs and treating with mechanical and/or chemical means; operating a bucket truck, chipper and stump grinder; climbing trees by means of rope and saddle to accomplish necessary arboreal maintenance; watering and fertilizing trees and shrubs; assisting Mechanic with routine maintenance and repair of chain saws, chipper, stump grinder and other hand tools. Applicant should have three years of increasingly responsible experience in Urban Forestry, or any combination of education and/or work experience that has provided the knowledge and abilities necessary for excellent job performance. Must be able and willing to work in all types of weather and lift, move and carry objects in excess of 50 pounds. All Parks Department employees report to work at or before 7:00 a.m. and normally conclude their work day at 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday and before noon on Friday. Members of the Parks Maintenance Team are expected to contribute to snow removal and seasonal special events and projects that may occasionally require working evenings and weekends. This position offers a special job opportunity for that special applicant looking for a supportive team atmosphere and an excellent fringe benefit package. Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (Class ‘B’ CDL) and be insurable by the District’s insurance carrier. Selected applicant must successfully pass a physical exam and drug test and possess a clean driving record. Successful applicant must present an MVR before a firm offer of employment will be made. Salary range: $39,600 – $54,292

Parks Department Seasonal Positions

Ken-Caryl Ranch Parks Department is accepting applications for 2017 seasonal parks workers. The hourly wage is $10-$12 depending on experience. We are looking for dedicated individuals who would enjoy spending their summer working outdoors in the beautiful parks on Ken-Caryl Ranch. We are filling positions in our Irrigation, Preventive Maintenance, Turf, Horticulture and Forestry Divisions. Your work week would be 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday. There are a limited number of positions available to be filled in April extending into September with the rest of the positions available from the end of May through August.

Before & After School Lead Teacher

Pay Range: $9.50 – $11/hour, DOE
Hours: 6:30 – 9:00 a.m. and/or 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. with flexible prep time.
Schedule is flexible, work 2 – 5 days per week mornings and/or afternoons.

In our B&A Recreation Program, elementary school students enjoy drama, science, art, cooking, yoga, hiking, field trips and more! Our program is far from a day care – we provide enriching recreational opportunities both indoors and out all year long.
