Summer Youth Camp Position/Before & After School Assistant Teacher

Enjoy all of the laughter and thrills of summer camp while working in a fun, organized and supportive environment. Our goal is simple: hire the best camp staff and create a place where we all love to work and play. Leave your cell phone and fancy clothes behind and come play hard in the sun! Experience the difference by joining our dedicated, fun-loving team and having a significant influence in the lives of children. This summer camp position has the option of continuing into the school year with Ken-Caryl’s before and after school program!

Position: Summer Youth Camp Position
Salary: $9.50 – $11/hour DOE
Dates: Summer Camp: July 24 – August 16, 2017
Time Commitment: Summer Camp: Up to 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday

Position: Before and After School Recreation Program Teacher
Salary: $9.50 – $11/hour, DOE
Hours: 6:30 – 9:00 am and/or 3:00 – 6:00pm with flexible prep time.
Schedule is flexible, work 2 – 5 days per week mornings and/or afternoons.

Preschool Teacher, Asst. Preschool Teacher & Substitutes

Salary: Teacher $12 – $15 (DOE); Assistant Teacher $10 – $12 (DOE)
Hours: 15 – 40 hours per week, shifts include 9am-12pm, 9am-3pm and Before & After Care

At Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Preschool Programs our goal is to bring joy and discovery to early-childhood education. We are currently looking for Preschool Teachers, Assistants and substitutes who can help to create a fun environment and incorporate educational programs that assist in our children’s development. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for monitoring and teaching the children in our program, developing a curriculum that the children will respond to positively and partnering with our team to enhance the learning environment at our school.

Before and After School Program Assistant Teacher

Salary: $9.50 – $11/hour, DOE
Hours: 6:30 – 9:00 am and/or 3:00 – 6:00pm with flexible prep time.

In our B&A Recreation Program, elementary school students enjoy drama, science, art, cooking, yoga, hiking, field trips and more! Our program is far from a day care – we provide enriching recreational opportunities both indoors and out all year long. Forestry Technician

Salary Range: $44,000 – $58,000
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is accepting applications for a full-time Forestry Technician. Under the general guidance of the Landscape Foreman the successful applicant will be part of a highly motivated parks maintenance team. The Forestry Technician will be responsible for a variety of duties in the maintenance and care of trees and shrubs in the District’s parks and greenbelts. Duties include trimming, pruning, removing and planting trees and shrubs; identifying hazardous and defective trees and implementing corrective measures; implementing and maintaining a tree inventory; identifying diseases and insects in trees and shrubs and treating with mechanical and/or chemical means; operating a bucket truck, chipper and stump grinder; climbing trees by means of rope and saddle to accomplish necessary arboreal maintenance; watering and fertilizing trees and shrubs; assisting Mechanic with routine maintenance and repair of chain saws, chipper, stump grinder and other hand tools. Applicant should have three years of increasingly responsible experience in Urban Forestry, or any combination of education and/or work experience that has provided the knowledge and abilities necessary for excellent job performance. Must be able and willing to work in all types of weather and lift, move and carry objects in excess of 50 pounds. Members of the Parks Maintenance Team are expected to contribute to snow removal and seasonal special events and projects that may occasionally require working evenings and weekends. Applicant must possess or be able to obtain a valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License (Class ‘B’ CDL) and be insurable by the District’s insurance carrier. Selected applicant must successfully pass a physical exam and drug test and possess a clean driving record. Successful applicant must present an MVR before a firm offer of employment will be made.

Open Space Seasonal Maintenance Technician

Pay: $10-13/hour (D.O.E.)
Short Term Seasonal: August-November 2017
Hours: Wednesday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m., 40 hours/week

SPECIFIC DUTIES

• Mowing and trimming operations and maintenance.
• Sign installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Building structure repairs and maintenance.
• Fence installation and repair.
