Swim Lesson Coordinator

Pay Range: $13.00 – $16.00/hr DOE
Position Dates: May 30, 2017 – August 4, 2017

This position oversees the swim lesson program at the Ranch House and Community Center Pools. The Swim Lesson Coordinator is responsible for implementing a new swim program for the community. The Coordinator will oversee the daily operations of lessons, create and implement swim instructor training and provide information to the public about the program. Swim lessons are conducted Monday to Friday between 9:00am and noon.

Recreation Coordinator – Youth Programs 

Pay Range: $40,000 – $45,000/year DOE
Hours: Full Time

Ken-Caryl Ranch is seeking a creative, passionate individual to serve as the Recreation Coordinator for Youth Programs. This position is responsible for effectively managing and coordinating the Youth Programs, including the School Age Before and After School Program, Summer Camps, Preschool, Mini-Camps, early childhood enrichment programs and events.

Before & After School Lead Teacher

Pay Range: $9.50 – $11/hour, DOE
Hours: 6:30 – 9:00 a.m. and/or 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. with flexible prep time.
Schedule is flexible, work 2 – 5 days per week mornings and/or afternoons.

In our B&A Recreation Program, elementary school students enjoy drama, science, art, cooking, yoga, hiking, field trips and more! Our program is far from a day care – we provide enriching recreational opportunities both indoors and out all year long. Seasonal Lifeguards and Swim Instructors

Pay Range: $9.50– $11.50/hr DOE
Position Dates: May 6, 2017 – September 4, 2017

Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is looking for dedicated individuals to serve as Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for the 2017 summer season. Lifeguards and Swim Instructors work under the direct supervision of one of the Pool Managers and the Aquatics Coordinator at one of our three outdoor pools; the Ranch House, the Community Center or the Bradford. Weekday hours range from 5:30am to 10:00pm and weekend hours range from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Pool hours and programs vary from pool to pool. Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is looking for dedicated, experienced individuals to serve as Pool Managers for the 2017 summer season. This position oversees daily functioning at one of our three outdoor pools; the Ranch House, the Community Center or the Bradford.  Supervision and guidance for this position is provided by the Aquatics Coordinator.  Weekday hours range from 5:30am to 10:00pm and weekend hours range from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Employment Opportunities

Seasonal Park Ranger

Salary: $13-$15 per hour depending on experience
Dates: May – December 2017
Hours: Friday through Tuesday, 40 hours a week

Under supervision of Open Space Manager and direct supervision of Park Ranger I, responsible for community patrol, surveillance and protection of native open space, parks and recreation facilities. This is not a law-enforcement position; however, rangers enforce local open space and parks rules & regulations. Where problems arise outside the scope of his/her abilities and jurisdiction, candidate will call in and work with local law-enforcement agencies. Also performs natural resource management on Ken-Caryl Ranch’s 4000+ acre native open space. Ideal candidate should have, or is in the process of obtaining, relevant education and/or work experience in parks, natural resources, criminal justice or a related field. A candidate needs a positive attitude; good communication skills, be self-motivated; possess strong attention to detail and have an ability to work independently. Must be able to hike and/or bike several miles per day, work with chemical pesticides and working with power equipment. Must be able to work in all-weather elements and pass self-defense training. Must have current, valid Colorado Driver License at time of hire and must be insurable with Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association’s insurance carrier. Position is not eligible for any additional benefits. Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings. Open Until Filled.

Seasonal Open Space Maintenance Technician

Salary: $10-$13 per hour depending on experience
Dates: May-December 2017, 31 weeks
Hours: Wednesday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m.,

Ken-Caryl Ranch Open Space Department is accepting applications for one Seasonal Maintenance Technician. General open space maintenance duties include: sign installation, repair/maintenance, fence installation/repair and mowing and trimming of parks, trails and roadsides. Positions are open until filled. Working knowledge of equipment, building and construction, and natural resource management is desired. Seasonal Technicians will be subject to hot and cold working conditions outdoors, physically strenuous work, and working with power equipment. Must be dependable and have a strong desire to be a team player.
