National Senior Health and Fitness Day

May 29 is National Senior Health & Fitness Day. As the nation’s largest annual older adult health and wellness event, its goals are to help keep older Americans healthy and fit and to showcase what local organizations are doing in their communities to promote senior health and wellness.

Join us from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Community Center. We will offer several FREE events that day including,

Zumba class: 8-8:50 a.m.
Aqua Zumba class: 8:45-9:35 a.m.
Hatha Yoga class: 9:15-10:30 a.m.
Body Composition Assessment: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Buffet and Bingo: 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Reb3l Groove: 6-6:50 p.m.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced exerciser, Ken-Caryl Ranch’s group exercise classes harness the energy of many for a motivating, challenging and totally addictive workout experience. A variety of traditional and innovative classes are offered by our nationally certified fitness and yoga instructors.

Many classes are included in the monthly membership or available on a drop-in bases. We also offer specialty fee-based classes.

Student Summer gym membership is back!  Purchase the 3-Month Gym Only membership between May 1 and July 31 by presenting a valid student identification in person at the Community Center or Ranch House.  This membership is available for students only between the ages of 14 – 24.

JUNIOR FITNESS FACILITY CERTIFICATION

Membership Fee:
  • Resident: $21
  • Non-Resident: $25

Youth 12-16 years of age must be certified by our personal trainers in order to use the exercise/weight equipment at the Community Center. If the minimum is not met, class will be postponed until the next session. Participants must pre-register for this class, no walk-ins will be accepted. Youth 12-13 years old must be accompanied by an adult when using the weight and cardio equipment.

SILVERSNEAKERS – RENEWACTIVE – SILVER&FIT

Membership Fee:
  • Resident: Paid by insurance
  • Non-Resident: Paid by insurance

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Community Center accepts the following nationwide insurance-based exercise programs:

  • SilverSneakers by Tivity Health
  • Silver&Fit (includes Active&Fit)
  • Renew Active by United Healthcare

Members of these insurance-based programs may have payment for their 2022 Pool Season passes waived, based on eligibility. To verify eligibility and to enroll, please visit the Community Center or the Ranch House during normal business hours. You may also contact 303-979-2233, or email Janet Robbins at janetr@kcranch.org.

Beginning January 2, all participants of any of these programs will be required to recheck elibibility and re-enroll in the appropriate program at the Community Center front desk.

There will be no change in your benefit, only in how Ken-Caryl is reimbursed.

Designed for ages 14 and up to develop cardiovascular fitness and strengthen muscles; this is the perfect way to get fit without stressing your joints. Swimming helps alleviate pain, improve circulation, and promote healing and muscle development for those suffering from physical ailments resulting from injury, disease, or aging.

Members enrolled in Silver Sneakers, Peer Fit or Renew active, may have their 2022 pool season fees waived, however class registration is still required. To verify eligibility in one of these insurance-based programs, please stop by the Community Center or the Ranch House during normal business hours.
