Tasty Tuesdays at the Ranch House

We are feeding your need for food trucks! Introducing Tasty Tuesdays, where we will host several food trucks – from the sweet to the savory – for your eating pleasure! Join us every Tuesday in June from 5:30-8:30 p.m. in the Ranch House parking lot and tantalize your taste buds with the purchase of dinner and dessert! Cold Stone Creamery will kick things off on June 7.
Starting June 14, we will feature a rotating bunch of savory trucks and Cold Stone Creamery will be on hand each week to sweeten the deal! Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more information!

Chalk Art Festival

Save the date and plan on joining us for a one-of-a-kind event – the Chalk Art Festival & Battle of the Bands on Aug. 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Ranch House!

The morning starts with chalking! Ken-Caryl residents who pre-register to create a chalk art design, based on our theme: “Living in Ken-Caryl – a tribute to what Ken-Caryl means to you” will be working on their art from 8:30am until 4pm. During this time, watch a professional chalk artist, Olivia Mcleod, in action as she creates a Ken-Caryl historic drawing. Judging will take place at 4pm and awards will be distributed in three categories; People’s Choice, Best of Show and Honorable Mention.

*The event emcee will be our very own MD Board President, Joe Levy, performing during intermissions as Elton John!

8:30 a.m. – Chalkers begin along with a professional chalker who is creating one-of-a-kind Ken-Caryl-themed art
11 a.m. – Food trucks arrive
11 a.m. High 90’s Band
12:30 p.m. Lemon Bliss
2 p.m. KOSI 303
*3-3:30 p.m. intermission, including introduction of the next band.
3:30 p.m. Cabin Burners
*4-30-5 p.m. intermission, including the chalk artist awards and introduction of the next band.
5 p.m. Yellow Dog
*6-6:30 p.m. intermission, including introduction of the 6:30 p.m. band.
6:30 p.m. The Vinyls
4 p.m. – Chalkers end, judging and awards
* 7-7:30 p.m. transition between acts and the tallying for the award ceremony.
7:45 p.m. – Bands finish playing, battle of the bands winner announced.

Event Details:

Enjoy delicious food beginning available for purchase from the Tula Tapas, Rag Bag Bistro, 5280 Grilled Cheese and Eskimo Bros Nitro Ice Cream food trucks and dance to local music. Bring your blankets and chairs so you can sit back, grab some yummy grub and listen to local jams.

Don’t forget to vote for your favorite chalk art before 4 p.m. and your favorite band before 7:30 p.m.!

Chalking Details:

Go solo or gather a team, whether it’s with your loved ones, neighbors, or friends and become an integral part of the first ever Ken-Caryl Chalk Festival! All skill levels welcome. Ken-Caryl will provide the chalk and your 4 ‘x 6’ space. Once you are registered, more information will be emailed to you. Chalkers have from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. to chalk. It is recommended registered chalkers bring a tent for shade.

Doggie Dip Day

Life’s ruff… It’s Fido’s turn to take a dip in the pool to close out the summer pool season during our annual beloved Doggie Dip Day event! Pups will paddle their way to fun and enjoy fun activities and a chance to win prizes!
