KCRMD Before & After School Recreation Programs provide a caring, safe and fun learning environment. Students explore a wide variety of activities that develop learning, encourage imagination and promote positive social skills. Join us for exciting science experiments, cooking, art projects, sports, games, reading, homework help and more! We offer year-round care and provide full-day care on most scheduled no-school days, school holidays and vacations. Pay the annual enrollment fee and then pay only for the days you need each month! Students are transported in KCRMD mini-buses each day.

2024-2025 Before & After Care Info

Registration into the B&A program takes place annually and a registration fee is required. Participants must first register into the program before they are able to sign up for specific dates.  Registration for the 2024-2025 B&A program will open online for residents beginning April 29th at 9am and for non-residents on May 6th at 9am.

24-25 B&A Registration Info Flyer HERE

When registering into the 24/25 B&A program, you will choose one of two options:

  • Drop-In Registration: Drop-in registration is a new registration type this year. This registration is intended for participants that need access occasionally to before care, after care, full days and/or break camps. Please note, this type of registration only allows participants to attend if there is space. They will not be able to sign-up using the monthly calendar and must send an e-mail request for the dates they need drop-in care. If this type of registration is what you would like, please select “Drop-In” when registering for B&A.
  • Regular Registration:
    • Monthly Sign Up -> This is for participants that would like to choose the dates and times needed on a monthly basis.
      • Sign up has a residents and a non-residents registration window.
      • Every month prior you have from the 1st (residents) and the 5th (non-residents) until the 25th of the month to complete the following month’s registration.
      • Any sign ups after the 25th of the month will be classified as “drop-in”. Confirmation of availability is required to complete these registrations.
      • If you choose to sign up through the regular registration and your student does not attend regularly, we reserve the right to move your student to the drop in status registration.
    • Premier Sign Up -> This is available by semester; fall and spring. This option allows for a guaranteed schedule for the semester. Participants choose the days and times they need for the entire semester ahead of time. However, no refunds or credits will be given for any unused days throughout the semester. After premier registration closes, the remaining availability will be open for those who sign up monthly.
      • If you choose to opt into the premier program, and your child is a no show in excess, we reserve the right to void your premiere registration/schedule and you will be moved to the monthly registration.

Other Important Info:

  • B&A participants do not have priority for summer camp registration.
  • Ranch House-Shaffer Program Specific: Due to Shaffer shifting their start and end times for the 2023-2024 school year, we do NOT offer before care. After care is still offered.
