Summer Teen/Pre-Teen Programs

Each of our teen camps meet at the Ranch House and utilize our 14-passenger mini-bus to go on each of the camp’s adventures! Online registration closes and must meet minimum enrollment 3 weeks prior to its start date. Registration is still available up until 1 week out if there is space available, please contact Anna Petterson at annap@kcranch.org to register. If minimum enrollment is not met, current registrants will be notified and refunded.

Registration opens for these camps on March 13 for In-District Residents and March 27 for Non-District Residents.

Teen Courses

TASTE FOR ADRENALINE
Fees:
  • Resident: $305
  • Non-Resident: $397

Ages: 6th-9th Grade

Dates: June 6 – 8 (Tues-Thurs)

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Join us for a three-day adventure camp full of high adrenaline activities in the great outdoors like peak season white water rafting, zip lining, and a trapeze class and hiking in the mountains! This is the perfect experience for those who want a taste of what our great outdoors have to offer! (activities are subject to change)

ROCK ON! ROCK CLIMBING CAMP
Fees:
  • Resident: $340
  • Non-Resident: $442

Ages: 6th-9th Grade

Dates:

Two 1-week separate sessions:

  • June 19 – 23
  • July 10 – 14

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Have you ever seen rock climbers scaling cliffs and rock faces and wished you could be doing that? Do you love to be outside and try new, daring adventures? Come learn the ropes, literally, in this original camp where you will get to develop new skills that build on each other throughout the week. Front Range Climbing Company, along with our experienced staff, will teach you about gear, knot tying, belaying, rappelling, anchors, and climbing techniques. Before you know it, you will be a true rock climber!

COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING (CIT) CAMP
Fees:

Ages: 7th-10th Grade

Dates:

Two 1- week separate sessions:

  • June 12 – 16
  • June 26 – June 30

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Do you like working with a team, being a role model for kids and having a blast while doing it? Then Counselor-In-Training Camp is perfect for you! You will gain experience in teamwork and leadership techniques, leading group activities, and assisting counselors with program operation. Develop your leadership skills as you help the Summer Camp staff each day.

TASTE FOR ADVENTURE

Ages: 6th-9th Grade

Dates: July 5 – 7

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Join us for a three-day adventure camp full of learning and playing outside while we partake in white water rafting, rock climbing, and hiking in the mountains! This is the perfect experience for those who want a taste of what our great outdoors have to offer or want to add to their ‘Taste for Adrenaline’ camp experience! (activities are subject to change)

LEADERSHIP CAMP: HUMAN NEEDS
Fees:
  • Resident: $195
  • Non-Resident: $254

Ages: 6th-10th Grade

Dates: July 17-21

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Are you ready to do something meaningful – to really make a difference? This is the camp for you! Meet new friends, develop leadership skills, and have fun while helping in the community. This camp is focused on human needs. We will volunteer our skills and time at senior centers, food banks, homeless shelters, or with families that are in need because of poverty or other disabilities. We plan to enjoy a fun trip or a special activity each week to reward the hard work our campers put in!

Sign up for both Leadership Camps to experience the perfect combination of human and environmental based service.

All service sites are safe places that have extensive experience working with youth. A certificate of service/volunteer hours can be provided upon program completion. Transportation will be provided to and from each of the service sites on our 14-passenger mini-buses driven by our experienced camp staff. (Specific service sites are still TBD.)

LEADERSHIP CAMP: ENVIRONMENTAL NEEDS

Ages: 6th-10th Grade

Dates: July 24-28

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

BABYSITTING CLINIC
Fees:
  • Resident: $80
  • Non-Resident: $104

Ages: 11 & Older

Time: 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Date night is calling, so sign your tween/teen up for our latest Babysitting Class! This course is designed to help prepare participants for those first babysitting opportunities. Basic child care such as routine child care duties (feeding, bathing and diapering) will be covered. Participants will also learn basic child development and be able to provide activities for the developmental stages. Home and fire safety, and the prevention and treatment of common injuries, will also be covered. This course is offered in person for kids ages 11-14. To enroll, please click on the button below.
