Metropolitan District Board
The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District is governed by a five-member Board of Directors. Board members are elected to three-year terms by registered voters who reside or own property within the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District. The Board of Directors is elected to establish policies and provide general direction to the staff in the performance of their day-to-day duties managing the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District.
Metropolitan District Board Election
Three Board seats will be on the ballot for the MD Board election on May 5, 2020. The MD Board meets in the evening on the first and fourth Tuesdays of each month. To run for a Metropolitan District Board position, please submit a self-nomination and acceptance form available at the Designated Election Official’s office located at 7995 E. Prentice Avenue, Suite 103E, Greenwood Village, CO or by emailing the Designated Election Official (Sue Blair) at email@example.com. All candidates must file self-nomination and acceptance forms with the Designated Election Official no later than the close of business on Friday, February 28, 2020.

Ken-Caryl Ranch operates as a partnership of two entities, the Master Association and the Metropolitan District. The Metropolitan District oversees recreational programming, parks, and playgrounds and is funded primarily through property taxes and registration fees. The Master Association oversees architectural/covenant protection, manages the Open Space, operates the Equestrian Center, manages the trash/recycling services, and publishes Life at Ken-Caryl. The Master Association is primarily funded through Homeowner Dues and advertising.
2019 Metro District Board Meetings
Regular Business Meetings of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District typically begin at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House unless announced otherwise. The public is invited and encouraged to attend all meetings except Executive Sessions. The MD Board also holds a Joint Study Session with the Master Association on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Ranch House.
