Summer Riding Camps

Picnic with the Ponies

Ages: 6-8 Years
Fee: $250 Resident / $275 Non-Resident Per Two-Week Session (limit of 2 sessions per child)

Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday
12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Two-week sessions will be scheduled throughout the summer.

During this fun camp, younger children will learn different aspects of horse care and horseback riding. We strive to offer a wonderful horse experience while learning to be safe around horses. Maximum of six children per session. Parents are welcome to come the last day of the camp (2nd Thursday) at 1:15pm to watch their children ride. Please bring a packed lunch.

Payment must be dropped off at the Riding School Barn lock box NO LATER than one-week PRIOR to the start of each assigned camp.  Only cash or check, made out to KCRMA, will be accepted.  Cost: $250 Resident and $275 Non-Resident per two-week session – Limit of 2 sessions per child.

There are five sessions:

Session 1: June 1– 3, June 8– 10
Session 2: June 15 – 17, June 22 – 24
*Session 3: June 29 – July 1, July 13– July 15
Session 4: July 20– 22, July 27– 29
Session 5:  Aug. 3 – 5,  Aug. 10 – 12

*Session 3 of Picnic has a one week break between the two weeks due to the holiday.

Summer Camp

Ages: 8 & Up
Fee: $250 Resident / $275 Non-Resident (limit of 2 sessions per child)

Monday – Thursday. 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

One-week sessions will be scheduled throughout the summer.

In this camp, students will learn many aspects of horse care including handling, body language and psychology, tack cleaning, grooming, feeding, and, of course, horseback riding! They will have a wonderful horse experience while learning to be safe around horses. Kids may ride either English or Western in any of the camps. These camps are appropriate for kids with a variety of horse experience. Each day of camp includes 1.5 hours of horse contact, including an hour of actual riding. Maximum of 6 kids per session. Parents are welcome to join us on Thursdays at 10:45 a.m. to see their kids show their talent on horseback. Please see required gear for each camp below.

*First week of camp June 1 – 4 is our only Tuesday through Friday camp. All others are Monday through Thursday. All camps are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Summer Camp Registration

Required Camper Gear

Each camper should bring a drink and snack or lunch. For riding, campers should wear pants and heeled boots. We have helmets but you may bring your own as well. It is also advised to bring a hat and sunscreen.

When calling to register, please provide the following participant information:

  • T-shirt size
  • Please provide any information regarding prior camp/riding school experience.
  • Known allergies

Refund Policy

Requests for refunds must be received three weeks prior to camp session. Each refund will be assessed a $20 service charge unless program is cancelled by the Riding School. A $20 service fee charge will be levied on all returned checks. No refunds for cancellations within three weeks of session, unless we are able to fill your spot.
