They will have a wonderful horse experience while learning to be safe around horses. Kids may ride either English or Western in any of the camps. These camps are appropriate for kids with a variety of horse experience. Each day of camp includes 1.5 hours of horse contact, including an hour of actual riding. Maximum of 6 kids per session. Parents are welcome to join us on Thursdays at 10:45am to see their kids show their talent on horseback. Please see required gear for each camp below.
Required Camper Gear
Each camper should bring a drink and snack or lunch. For riding, campers should wear pants and heeled boots. We have helmets but you may bring your own as well. It is also advised to bring a hat and sunscreen.
Requests for refunds must be received three weeks prior to camp session. Each refund will be assessed a $20 service charge unless program is cancelled by the Riding School. A $20 service fee charge will be levied on all returned checks. No refunds for cancellations within three weeks of session, unless we are able to fill your spot.
Volunteer at Camp
The Riding School needs volunteers (ages 11 and up) to help with the Summer Camp programs. Volunteers must know how to tack up and lead horses on their own. Volunteers need to be available Monday – Thursday from 10:30am – 12:00pm for Summer Camp and/or 12:30pm – 2pm for Picnic with the Ponies.
Volunteers are welcome to help with both camps if they wish. Feel free to bring a lunch and hang out with the other volunteers and instructors during breaks. At the end of the summer, there will be a volunteer appreciation day with the opportunity to ride, bathe, and enjoy a fun lunch. Volunteers must have volunteered consistently throughout the summer.
Please contact the riding school at firstname.lastname@example.org or 303-972-8456.
