Christmas Tree Sale

A limited number of trees cut from forest management areas will be available to the public on a first come, first served basis.  Rangers are requesting donations (cash or check only) in exchange for the trees and the donations will be used to offset expenses in the open space program.  The recently cut Douglas Firs and Ponderosa Pines remain fresh and fragrant for the season. Unlike the trees found in Christmas tree sale lots, these trees are more “natural” in shape but they will still fill your home with a traditional Christmas spirit!

For the annual tree sale, the rangers harvest small diameter trees in the open space to improve wildlife habitat and overall forest health. The removal of the small trees reduces overcrowding and eliminates ladder fuels which can carry fire into a forest canopy.  Trees that don’t find a home are chipped and made into mulch. If you have any questions about the Christmas tree sale contact the Ranger Staff at 303-979-1876 ext. 170.

Date: Saturday, Dec. 1
Time: 8-10 a.m.
Location: Dakota Lodge
Fee: Donations Accepted (Cash or check only)
