The 2018 Nature Photography Gallery Night Event hosted by KC Nature at Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District and Ken-Caryl Art Guild will be held at Dakota Lodge from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 23. Light food will be provided and a cash bar will be available to attendees 21 and older. All Ken-Caryl Ranch residents and non-residents are welcome to attend the event.
Winners and honorable mentions from the KCR 2018 Nature Photography Contest will be named the night of the event in the categories of Wildlife, Botanic, and Landscape photography. Participants will be notified if their photograph has been selected for display at the gallery event by March 9, 2018. All photographs selected to be displayed must be brought to Dakota Lodge ready to hang between March 19 and March 22 (Click here for event details and official contest rules & requirements). The nature-themed photographs can be taken anywhere in the world so long as they were not taken of wildlife in a captive setting or caused any stress to wildlife.

Explore what conservation looks like right in our own back yard as well as around Colorado and the globe. How can you and your family contribute to local conservation? Come find out through hands on activities, presentations and booths. You and your family can contribute to ongoing nature-based data collection through the Citizen Science project of your choice. This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome.
Topics include: Citizen Science, Wildlife safety here at KCR, Nature Journaling, Leave No Trace, Pet and Animal Welfare, and more.

The annual Community Recycling Event will be back again this spring with electronics recycling, paper shredding, tire recycling, paint disposal, trash disposal, and much more. Details will be available soon!
