Ken-Caryl Ranch offers tennis court reservations, lessons, activities & more.

*Serves up, heads-up! Please call the Community Center, and not the Ranch House, to make cardio tennis changes and cancellations at 303-979-2233. Cancellations must be made by 3 p.m. prior to the class time. Messages left on the Ranch House voicemail may not be picked up in time for your cancellation window.

Indoor & Outdoor

Tennis Court Reservations

All courts must be booked online. Indoor courts may be reserved up to one week in advance. Outdoor courts may be reserved up to three days in advance. Reservations are limited to two hours, per court, per day. Tennis building reservation hours are the following:

  • Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

  • Friday – Sunday: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Outdoor court reservations can also be easily cancelled online!

  • Go to the Registration Website
  • Sign in to your account
  • Click on “My Account” at the top right hand corner of the screen
  • Under online services click “Modify Reservation”
  • Complete the box with either your reservation name or the permit number from your email confirmation

To cancel an indoor court reservation or ball machine reservation and receive a credit to your account, please call the Community Center or email Recreation@kcranch.org at least 24 hours in advance.

Ball Machine Pass

Ball Machine Rental at the Community Center

Indoor Ball Machine Rental

District Resident: $15/hour, Non-District: $20/hour

Reserve an indoor court using the instructions above. You will have the option to add the ball machine rental to your reservation. The ball machine is located behind indoor court #4, but can be used on any indoor court. Please return the ball machine to the location behind court #4 when you are finished.

Outdoor Ball Machine Rental (Summer Only)

One-time Outdoor Ball Machine Rental:
District Resident $15/hour, Non-District $20/hour.

Reserve outdoor court #2 at the Community Center using the instructions above. You will have the option to add the ball machine rental to your reservation. Please return the ball machine to the shed when you are finished.

Ball Machine Pass: Unlimited rental of the outdoor ball machine at the Community Center (court #2) from May 1st through September .

Cardio Tennis is back! You can sign up 48 hours in advance and payment is required at the time of registration. Register using the button below.

Please call the Community Center at 303-979-2233 to make cardio tennis changes and cancellations. Cancellations must be made by 3 p.m. prior to the class time.

Cardio Tennis is a system designed to bring a high level cardiovascular workout into the world of tennis, incorporating the game you know and love with games and activities that keep you moving, burning calories and improving your footwork and hand/eye coordination.

JUNIOR TENNIS

Age Groups:
• Ages 5-6 – small court using large red balls
• Ages 7-8 – orange balls, 60-foot court (blue lines)
• Ages 9-10 – orange balls, 60-foot court
• Ages 11-12 – green dot balls, full size court
• Ages 13-14 – regular balls, full size court

Skill Levels (for each age group):
• Beginner = Level A → Level B → Level C
• Intermediate = Comp 1 → Comp 2
• Advanced = Comp 3 → Comp 4

Class lessons are offered in sessions and a session generally runs for 8 – 10 weeks:
• Winter Session (new year)
• Spring Session
• Summer (2 smaller sessions)
• Fall Session (2)

Towards the end of each session, there is a skills evaluation so you will know what level to sign up for in the next session.

Summer Program:
• Lessons for Level A, B & C (all age groups)
• Junior Team Tennis (JTT) – competitive match play
• Rookie Tennis – for those not quite ready for JTT

JTT is a United States Tennis Association (USTA) program that offers competitive play in a team format that emphasizes fun, fitness & friends.
You must be at least at the Comp 1 level to participate in JTT.

Summer Tennis Program – JTT

The Ken-Caryl summer tennis program runs for eight weeks for boys and girls ages 8 to 18 who have at least passed into the Comp 1 level. The kids play 3 days a week (M, T, Th) with practice on T/Th and match play on Mondays. Select here for detailed information or register using the button below.

Junior Tennis Lessons: Year-round

Our skilled tennis pros use fun games and activities to ensure your tennis player will LOVE their lessons. Classes range from beginner to advanced lessons and typically run in 8-week sessions with registration 2-3 weeks before the session begins. Click the Register Button below to see times and fees. PICKLEBALL

Bradford Court Reservation Fee:
  • Resident: No charge
  • Non-Resident: $4/per hour

There are 4 pickleball courts at Bradford Park. The courts are multi-use for tennis and pickleball. There are 2 pickleball courts on each tennis court. Please be aware when reserving for tennis that you must book both the North and South court to obtain a whole tennis court!

A pickleball court measures 20×44 feet and includes a 7-foot non-volley zone in front of the net (referred to as the “kitchen”). By comparison, the 60-foot court junior blended lines on a tennis court measures 21×42 feet (net to service line).

Pickleball Mixers will be grouped by skill level (3.5 and under or 4.0 and up). We will be holding a designated number of spaces at each level. Site director will organize players to best suit the group. Players must have some competitive pickleball experience. Mixers are open to any experienced pickleball players age 16 and up.

Indoor Tennis Court Block Time

Ken-Caryl Ranch uses an application process to select day & time slots for Tennis Court Block Time. Block Time allows players to have dedicated court time every week during the winter season. There are two sessions of Block Time:

1. Fall Session: starts Labor Day and runs up to 15 weeks.
2. New Year Session: January through April for 14 weeks.

The Fall session application period is in June. The New Year session application opens after Thanksgiving break.

November 27 – 30: Resident application form submission
December 4: Notification to residents for approved time slots
December 6 – 8: Second wave application opens
December 12: Notification to second wave applicants for approved time slots
December 22: Detailed form and payment due
January 7, 2024: Block Time begins

Refund Policy: We do not offer refunds for Block Time (formerly called Permanent Court Time) unless Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District closes the indoor tennis building for inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. The safety of patrons is of utmost importance to us. If we remain open in inclement weather, the walkways will be shoveled and salted.

The indoor ball machine at the Community Center is available year round for the court fee plus $15/hour for District Residents or $18/hour for Non-District Residents.

Indoor Court Cancellation Policy

To cancel an indoor court reservation and receive a credit to your account, please call the Community Center or email Recreation@kcranch.org at least 24 hours in advance.

Additional Information
  • Grace Period: You have a 15-minute grace period in which to claim your outdoor court.
  • League matches have a 30-minute priority over open bookings. This means that you might need to wait up to 30 minutes for a league match to end before claiming your court.
  • Pro Shop: Complete pro shop and restringing services are available through Game-Set-Match. Racquets dropped off at the Community Center will be available for pick up the following day. Game-Set-Match is located at 5894 S. Zang Street, Littleton, CO.

Private, semi-private (two people at the same level) and private group lessons may be arranged

Please note that only pros employed by the Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District are authorized to teach tennis lessons at all Ken-Caryl Ranch tennis facilities and courts. If you are not on staff and are caught coaching someone other than your own child, you will be asked to leave.
